Solo project 1 month old. What now?
With 2026 now underway and my first month of going solo complete, I wanted to take a moment to reflect and share an update. It’s been an exciting and encouraging start, and there’s a lot to look forward to this year — from partnering with technology companies and investors on the recruitment of leaders and critical roles, to spending time on a few other things I am highly passionate about.
Thanks for great support and “best wishes”. Much appreciated and even though there a lot of people I have had to say no to meet just now, I hope that we can grab a coffee another time.
Executive Search for leadership positions
This is where I will have most of my focus and as the summary says on my website: Executive search, to me and my clients, is about identifying and engaging leaders who are rarely active in the market and creating the right conditions for a serious conversation. I work closely with founders, investors and boards to define the role properly, engage the right candidates early, and run a process that respects both sides.
Talent Acquisition to critical positions
I will provide these services for current clients of me and Rede, as well as considering this work for other awesome and ambitious technology companies. The summary on my website says: Talent acquisition, to me, is about combining reach with judgment — using the right methods for the role, without unnecessary process or friction. I believe the best results come from a flexible and agile approach that balances proactive search with targeted visibility. The goal is simple: reach the right people quickly and make it easy for strong candidates to engage.
And as always
I’ve always believed in keeping an agile mindset when it comes to securing the right candidates. In what is still a fairly conservative headhunting industry, I’m a strong advocate for using modern tools and platforms to improve both reach and quality. That won’t change. If anything, going solo allows me to lean even further into more flexible, thoughtful, and modern recruitment processes — and to continue challenging the status quo where it makes sense.
Mental health
Mental health remains something I care deeply about and will continue to be actively involved in. This will mainly be through blog posts and sharing my own experiences and challenges, but I also plan to host two to three smaller events around the theme “the hidden mental struggles we ignore.” Creating space for these conversations feels more important than ever. Feel free to call me on 40 43 54 93 if you think I have something to contribute with.
Young people and their future career
I’m increasingly concerned about how tough the job market has become for recent graduates, and arguably more challenging than it has been for a long time. I believe we need to be more open, more supportive, and more practical in how we help this group navigate their early careers.
To do that, I’ll be hosting free webinars for graduates and early-career professionals, as well as offering short job-seeking courses in collaboration with universities, student groups, and organisations.
Offices
I’ll be splitting my time between MESH and Rebel, and the door is always open for a coffee. I’ will set aside time each week specifically for conversations with leaders who are currently in roles, but open to exploring new challenges. No pressure, no sales pitch — just honest conversations.
Feel free to reach out if your technology company, or portfolio company are considering external recruitment support for leadership and other critical positions. I love meeting new companies and learning more about future plans.
